Giving Back Where It Matters Most: Supporting Our Dayton Community

At Bear Plumbing, we’ve always believed that you take care of home first. Our owners were born and raised right here in the Dayton area, and we know firsthand how much strength this community holds. From neighbors helping neighbors during storms to local businesses supporting one another, Dayton’s heart has always been in the people who show up.

This year, as we reflect on the work we do and the families we serve, we want to highlight something that matters just as much as reliable plumbing: giving back. There are countless ways to make a difference right here in our own backyard, and we’re sharing a few local organizations that make it easy to lend a hand, donate goods, or give your time.

1. The Foodbank, Inc. (Dayton, OH)

For over 40 years, The Foodbank has been fighting hunger across Montgomery, Greene, and Preble counties. Every dollar donated helps provide food to children, seniors, and families in need. They also welcome volunteers to help pack boxes, sort food donations, and assist at drive-through distributions.
👉 How to help: Donate non-perishable food, contribute financially, or volunteer your time.

Why It Matters

At Bear Plumbing, we see the Dayton area as HOME. The people we help every day aren’t just customers, they’re our neighbors, friends, and family. When you grow up in a place like this, you learn early on that community is everything.

That’s why we believe giving back should be a year-round effort. Whether it’s volunteering on a weekend, donating to a cause that speaks to you, or simply checking in on a neighbor who might need a hand, it all adds up.

When you choose local businesses like Bear Plumbing, you’re also helping keep that circle of support strong. Every repair, every installation, every call we take, those dollars stay in the community and help support local families and local growth.

We’re proud to live here, to work here, and to keep showing up for Dayton just like Dayton shows up for us.
